Abu Dhabi to get a taste of Ireland

ABU DHABI - The residents of the capital will have a taste of Ireland from tomorrow as the Irish Festival Week gets under way at Hilton International.
The announcement was made by Noleen Saeed, President, Abu Dhabi-Irish Society at a Press conference held at the same hotel on Wednesday.
Those present on the occasion included Hilton's Public Relations and Business Development Manager, Halim Droubi, Food and Beverage Manager, Ahmed Margoushy and Commercial Manager, Rajeev Patil besides KLM and Irish Chef Joe Shannon.
Organised by the Abu Dhabi Irish Society, the festival coincides with the Irish National Day that falls on March 17.
It will feature the best of the modern and traditional Irish culture including dance, music, food and drink.
"The festival is a part of our ongoing efforts to promote Irish culture and bring people closer to Ireland," Noleen said.
"Irish Society, which is a social and charitable organisation, also aims to make our more than 400 Irish nationals residing in Abu Dhabi feel at home in the UAE," she added.
