Salary Survey 2008

Some interesting results for the Irish in the Gulf at the
recent survey by Arabian Business.com of 8190 adults working around the Gulf.
It seems
- most of us are not going to stay very long
- we earn less than Brits, Aussies, or South Africans (and only marginally more than Malaysians),
- 25% of us don't send any money home
- almost two-thirds of us are are here for the money
- 30% are leaving for better opportunities elsewhere
- 75% of us are more likely to leave this year than we were last year
The full survey, with details of how it was administered and facts and figures for dozens of nationalities, is available here at http://www.arabianbusiness.com/salary-survey-report/questions. Visit the site for an interactive and instructive look at how passports matter...
And that nationality thing again? Here's the full list, in average earnings per year in US Dollars for different nationalities in the UAE.
