After the great success of the first 'Up, Close & Personal' event in
December, the new year will start with a fresh vibe from Ireland. Continuing the
season of intimate theatre events, Mirage Promotions is proud to present Brian
Kennedy on 4th February at the Dubai Community Theatre. From Celtic, Irish Folk
and Pop inspirations, the 'voice that charm the angles' will take us through his
rollercoaster of a musical experience.
With a mix of unplugged performance and Irish story telling and gifted as a natural communicator, believing that 'music is the language of emotions', Brian's show will revitalize forgotten senses, giving you a rejuvenating sensation of well being within your musical anima. With an uncanny ability to harmonize the modern, busy, and gray urban world, Brian will make you experience the hilly outdoors of the beautiful, untouched, grass-perfumed Ireland. If there was an award for being multi-talented, then Brian Kennedy would surely walk away with it.
Acclaimed songwriter and master interpreter of lyrics with an exceptional vocal talent, he has now emerged as an author of worth, producing a series of short stories and two novels. His brilliant new single, 'Every Song Is A Cry For Love' represented Ireland at the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest. This is not unusual for a character that has been playing with Van Morrison, Georgie Fame, Joni Mitchell, Ray Charles, Bob Dylan, John Lee Hooker, The Corrs, Tina Turner and many more.

Not only did Brian reach #1 in UK and Ireland charts with his 'A Better Man' hit, but he also took unpredicted turns to his musical journey, like when he accepted the role of lead singer in the renowned 'Riverdance on Broadway' show. Brian's unique insights into the origin of well-known popular songs in Ireland today are incorporated watermarks in all his short stories and novels. Brian was invited to sing at the funeral by request of George Best family. The response to Brian's improvised song 'George Best - A Tribute' was overwhelming and due to the public demand and requests, a charity record was released and reached #4 in the official UK charts.
Brian's most remarkable Novel 'Roman Song' is a passionate and glamorous story of a singing talent that moved from Belfast to Rome with an exploit of leading lights of Tosca, the opera masterpiece by Giacomo Puccini.
