Deeply Missed
It was with deep regret we heard of the death of Michael Daly, one of the first and most prominent members of the Irish community in Abu Dhabi, on August 22, 2007. Michael, a founder of local business Bin Moosa and Daly, arrived in the Gulf over 40 years ago, and was an active member of the community and the Irish society for very many years. Ar Dheis Dé go rabh a anam.

Quote from Michael: “I think the most important word in the English language is ‘Communication’. It applies equally to our personal and business life. A word of advice, never tell anybody, especially your employer, that you are doing your best, because your best may not be good enough. It’s results that count. I have achieved in life what I set out to do so many years ago – that I would one day own and operate my own business successfully. I was lucky enough to be in Abu Dhabi on retirement and through the help of our Ruler, HH Sheikh Zayed and the people of Abu Dhabi I have been successful – I got results. I am one lucky person. Thank you God.” Michael was buried in his beloved Cork on August 30, 2007.
