Mary Hanafin Visits Abu Dhabi
On the 21 March, 2006, Abu Dhabi Irish Society had the pleasure of welcoming the Irish Ambassador to Saudi Arabia and the Middle East, Tom Russell (below) and Ireland's Minister for Education, Mrs. Mary Hanafin (right) to a luncheon. A cross- section of Irish teachers working in the Abu Dhabi education sector were invited. Mrs. Hanafin praised their work and commented on the quality of teachers which Ireland has produced.
HCT Visit
During the day, she toured the Higher Colleges of Technology's (HCT) men's and women's campuses in Abu Dhabi.
