We have a range of events this year, culminating in the St Patrick's Day Ball, one of the highlights of the Abu Dhabi social calendar, on Thursday March 16, at 7:30pm in the Emirates Ballroom, Crowne Plaza Abu Dhabi.

Monday March 13

We are delighted to inform you that Mary Robinson, former President of Ireland and UN Human Rights Commissioner, will attend a breakfast hosted by the Abu Dhabi Irish Society on the morning of Monday 13, March at 08.30 in the Crowne Plaza, Abu Dhabi.

Unfortunately, because of the limited number of places available, we are having to restrict numbers. Therefore, people interested in attending the breakfast should email Sean Farrell by 12.00 on Wednesday 1, March.

The names of those who express an interest in attending will be placed in a hat and drawn out until the required number has been reached. This invitation is only open to paid up members of the Irish Society.

Thursday March 16

St Patrick's Day Ball. For decades, one of the highlights of the Abu Dhabi social calendar. Entertainment by quartet, professional Irish dancers, local Irish dancers, live music including traditional Irish music, DJ and dancing, spot prizes, raffles with flights and other valuable prizes, lavish meal specially commissioned by Irish chefs - a superb night's entertainment.

Tickets Dhs 290 for Abu Dhabi Irish Society members, Dhs 310 for non-members. Members will have first preference if possible. Call committee members for tickets (see Contacts page). Dress: formal.

Collection date for tickets for non-members was on Sunday March 5, Crowne Plaza Abu Dhabi 7 - 8 pm. All tickets must be confirmed. There may be some left!
